February 6, Fineko/abc.az. Armenia and Azerbaijan have exchanged the list of goods for mutual supplies, and businessmen are expected to respond.
ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Armenian press that Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said about this at a press briefing.
Papoyan recalled that gasoline and diesel fuel of Azerbaijani production are already present at the Armenian market, but there are currently no Armenian goods at the Azerbaijani market.
"But the parties exchanged lists of products [for mutual supplies] and discussed them. We understand that markets should be open to both sides: our market is for them, and their market is for us. In my opinion, it takes time. This is a process that is gradually being built," he said.
The minister also stressed that most of the necessary conditions for mutual supplies have already been created, but there are still open issues, such as the lack of full logistical coordination.
According to Papoyan, further work in this direction is ongoing and communication channels and transport routes have already been opened so that, if necessary, goods can pass through the territory of Armenia.
"The state creates conditions based on the current rules, using existing transport routes, railways and other tools. All this is aimed at determining which goods can be sold and which cannot. In my opinion, this is already a very well-done job, especially if we recall that two years ago such mechanisms did not exist," Papoyan added.
