February 6, Fineko/abc.az. "The field of assessment has been ignored for many years. We have openly discussed this issue with the Central Bank," ABC.AZ reports, quoting Asif Ibrahimov, adviser to the chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers.

According to the adviser, serious problems in the field of valuation were raised at the traditional meeting at the Central Bank with the country's leading experts, along with the banking and insurance sectors.

"During the meeting, innovations in the banking and insurance sectors, corporate governance standards, monetary and fiscal policy, devaluation risks, as well as issues of increasing competition in the banking sector were discussed. However, the focus was on the evaluation sector, which had been neglected for a long time. In the questions addressed to the leadership of the Central Bank, I stressed that with consistent regulation of the banking and insurance sectors, a similar approach is not applied to the valuation sector," Ibrahimov said.

He added that the results of the discussions in this area are to be presented at the next meeting.

"I believe this approach can be an important step for institutional development of the valuation sector and its effective integration with the banking system," the expert emphasized.
