February 11, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan in 2025, according to preliminary data, amounted to 1,102.9 manats (9.3% more than in 2024).

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee, the highest average monthly nominal wages were observed in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in transport and warehousing.

The number of employees in Azerbaijan as of January 1, 2026 totaled 1,808,000 people, including 865,800 people employed in the public sector of the economy and 942,200 people in the non-governmental sector.

At the same time, 18.6% of employees were employed in trade and vehicle repair, 18.1% in education, 13.8% in industry, 8.5% in providing medical and social services to the population, 6.6% in construction, 6.2% in public administration and defense, social security, 4.4% in the field of transport and warehousing, 3.9% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4% in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.4% in financial and insurance activities, and 15.1% in other sectors of the economy.
