Tajikistan attracted over $6.92 bn in foreign investment in 2025

February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, Tajikistan attracted more than $6.92 billion in foreign investments (35.1%, or $1.8 billion higher than in 2024).

ABC.AZ reports that according to State Investment Committee’s head Sulton Rahimzoda, 56.2% of the finances came from non-CIS countries, and 43.8% from CIS countries. At the same time, the foreign direct investments amounted to $509.5 million, or 7.4% of the total inflow.

China became the leader in terms of FDIs ($294.1 million), followed by the U.S. ($81.9 million) and Russia ($37.8 million). The UK showed a significant increase in investments (by 167.4% to $37 million), while Kazakhstan invested $17.5 million.

The mining and processing industries remain the main points of attraction of capital, and together they account for more than 76% of all direct investments, as well as trade, services and finance.
