February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Munich-based BMW has announced the recall of 28,582 vehicles in Germany due to a starter defect that could lead to a fire.

ABC.AZ informs that drivers are warned about the possible smell of burning or smoke while driving and after stopping the engine.

The service campaign covers vehicles manufactured from July 2020 to July 2022. Earlier it was reported about a possible global recall of up to 575,000 vehicles, but the company confirmed only data at the German market.

BMW already conducted a similar recall in the fall of 2025 for the same reason.
