February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Warner Bros. is considering the possibility of resuming negotiations on the sale with rival Hollywood studio Paramount Pictures after receiving an updated offer.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to Bloomberg’s sources, that the Board of Directors of Warner Bros. discusses whether Paramount is able to offer more favorable terms. However, a final decision has not yet been made - the company may also retain the current deal with Netflix.

Last week, Paramount improved the offer by promising shareholders additional cash payments for each quarter in case the deal is not closed by the end of the year. In addition, the company agreed to cover a possible penalty that the parent company of HBO would have to pay to Netflix upon termination of the agreement, although it did not raise the price per share.
