February 16, Fineko/abc.az. As of February 1, 2026, 1,682,901 taxpayers were registered in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Tax Service, the figure is a 4.9% increase compared with 2025.

According to the agency, 86.8% of taxpayers are individuals and 13.2% are legal entities and other organizations. This year, the number of individual entrepreneurs grew by 4.6%, the number of departments, enterprises and organizations by 6.4%.

At the end of January, 205,104 commercial entities were registered in the country (+7%). In January, 1,050 commercial organizations passed state registration, and 89.6% of them had domestic investments and 10.4% - foreign investments. At the same time, 87% of commercial organizations are registered in e-format. The share of e-registration of limited liability companies with local investments was 97.6%.

Among commercial legal entities registered by the state, 92.1% were established in the form of LLCs, 1.1% - joint-stock companies, 1.1% - cooperatives and other organizational and legal forms.

As of February 1, 2026, 136,808 commercial organizations had active status (7.7% more against the 2025 same period).
