February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, the total value of trade in non-oil/gas products between Azerbaijan and the UAE increased by 43% compared with the previous year up to $2.4 billion.
ABC.AZ informs that UAE Minister of Climate Change & Environment Amna bin Abdullah Al Dahak Alshamsi told journalists about this.
According to the minister, after the signing of the CEPA (Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), strategic relations have developed between the two countries: "We are also considering mutual investments between the UAE and Azerbaijan for totally $1 billion. We strive to expand these ties, especially in the field of food and agriculture."
The minister added that the two countries currently maintain strategic cooperation: "Azerbaijan is a country with developed agriculture, and the UAE has strong agricultural companies with high technologies and an emphasis on smart agriculture. UAE's logistical capabilities can also help open up new markets through this collaboration. We look forward to turning these initiatives into real projects on both sides."
