February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, Azerbaijan imported 638.4 tons of mutton worth $3.3 million.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, that compared with the indicator of 2024, imports increased by 81% in value terms and by 41% in quantitative terms.

Azerbaijan bought 572.5 tons of mutton from Mongolia for $2.3 million (28% more than a year earlier), 46.5 tons from Somalia for $960,000 (46.5 tons; no supplies a year earlier), and 19 tons from Russia for $19,900 (a 3-fold rise), from the UK - 0.25 tons for $7,500, from New Zealand - 0.2 tons for $7,200 (-42%)

After a break of 8 years and 11 months, Azerbaijan resumed supplies from the UK.

In 2024, Mongolia accounted for 99.3% of the 453 tons of mutton imported into the country.
