E-cigarette smokers in public places to be fined

February 17, Fineko/abc.az. E-cigarette smokers in prohibited places, on the streets and in other public places will be fined.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Code of Administrative Offences, discussed at today’s meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy & State Construction.

According to the draft, starting from April 1, a fine of 30 manats will be applied for the use of e-cigarettes in prohibited places, on the streets and in other public places.

According to the amendments to the Law on Tobacco & Tobacco Products, from April 1, the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale and use of e-cigarettes and their components are prohibited.
