IGC lowers forecast of global grain harvest for the 2025/26 agricultural season

February 24, fineko/abc.az. In a February report, the International Grain Council (IGC) reduced its global grain harvest forecast to 2.460 billion tons (-1 million).

ABC.AZ informs that wheat forecast was lowered to 841.7 million tons (-300,000), corn harvest increased up to 1.313 billion tons (+500,000).

Russia: grain harvest grew up to 126.8 million tons (+0.3 million), wheat - 87.6 million tons. Grain exports were reduced to 51.1 million tons and wheat exports increased up to 44.4 million tons.

EU: grain harvest reduced to 288.7 million tons, wheat — to 143.4 million tons. Grain exports amounted to 44.5 million tons, wheat - 31.3 million tons.

Kazakhstan: grain harvest - 24.4 million tons, wheat - 19.1 million tons. Grain exports were reduced to 12.2 million tons, wheat exports increased up to 10.3 million tons.

Ukraine: grain harvest - 63 million tons and wheat - 26 million tons. Grain exports decreased to 38.8 million tons,  and wheat to 14 million tons. Corn - 30.5 million tons, exports - 22.5 million tons.
