March 4, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, Azerbaijan exported 172,864 tons of tomatoes for $192.5 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that compared with 2024, tomato exports grew by 10% in value terms and by 19% in quantitative terms.

Azerbaijan sold 166,113 tons (+17%) to Russia for $181.7 million (8% more than a year earlier), 3,790 tons (+60%) for $7.8 million (+53%) to Belarus, 962 tons (+74%) for $1.4 million (+71%) to Poland, 1,685 tons (3-fold more) for $1.1 million (3-fold more) to Georgia, 242 tons (+2.7-fold) for $281,000 (3-fold more) to Ukraine.

Azerbaijan imported products 635.52 tons (-23%) from Turkmenistan for $673,700 (+45%), 536.2 tons (no supplies a year earlier) from Russia for $536,800, 462 tons (+2.2-fold) from Iran for $421,000 (+3.6-fold), 80 tons (-7%) from Turkey for $86,000 (+51%), 0.05 tons (no supplies a year earlier) from the Netherlands for $500.

In 2024, 70% of tomato imports (1,184 tons) by Azerbaijan was carried out from Turkmenistan.
