March 5, Fineko/abc.az. State Tax Service’s main priority is complete digitization of the tax system.

ABC.AZ reports that Gunay Mahmudova, head of the STS Department of the Main Department of Digital Tax Administration, stated about this at the Baku forum on the theme "Looking into the future of the tax system: a new management model and data-based solutions".

She added that the Tax Service, as part of its strategy for 2025-2028, aims to fully digitize the tax system and minimize the human factor in relation to taxpayers: "As part of our strategy, the main priorities are digital transformation, the introduction of artificial intelligence and the promotion of voluntary compliance with tax obligations. One of our future plans is to introduce a mechanism for pre-filled value added tax (VAT) declarations, and then gradually for all other declarations. At the same time, one of the main priorities is to introduce a risk analysis mechanism based on artificial intelligence into tax administration."
