March 10, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of retail trade in Baku in January of this year amounted to 3.221 billion manats (4.3% more versus January 2025), ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Baku City Statistics Department.

The value of food, beverages and tobacco products sold in the retail chain grew by 5.6% compared with January-October 2025 up to 1.78 billion manats and the volume of non-food products by 2.8% up to 1.439 billion manats.

Compared with January 2025, retail trade turnover in January of this year decreased by 0.6% for enterprises in real terms and by 7% for individual entrepreneurs, markets and fairs.

33.6% of consumer goods were sold at enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 58% in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, 8.4% in the food markets of the capital.
