War in Middle East costs $600 million a day for region's tourism industry

March 11, Fineko/abc.az. The conflict in the Middle East is causing a loss of $600 million in tourism revenue every day.

ABC.AZ reports that this is the conclusion reached by the Financial Times, citing data from the World Tourism & Travel Council.

Flight cancellations, airspace closures, and rising fears among tourists are seriously undermining the industry.

The conflict escalated after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran, including Tehran, on February 28, with civilian casualties. In response, Iran attacks Israel and US military installations in the region.
