U.S. to invest $1.1 bn in processing of tungsten in Kazakhstan

March 12, Fineko/abc.az. Cove Kaz Capital Group (U.S.) will invest $1.1 bn in the construction of two enrichment plants and a metallurgical plant for processing tungsten in Kazakhstan.

ABC.AZ informs that the project relates to development of fields North Katpar and Upper Kayrakty. The parties will create a joint venture, where Cove Capital will receive 70%, and Tau-Ken Samruk will receive 30%. The agreement was signed in November during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Washington for the C5+1 summit.
