March 12, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, 54.2% of salary card payments were made in non-cash form in Azerbaijan.

According to the document, in payments made through social cards, the weight of non-cash transactions has increased by 9 percentage points over the past 3 years and made up 20%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

There has been an increase in wages and the habits of social card holders to use non-cash payments.

As part of the Financial Sector Development Strategy 2024-26, last year, together with government agencies, banks, fintech companies and international organizations, comprehensive measures were taken to expand the non-cash payment environment in the country, introduce innovative payment technologies, and improve population's habit of non-cash payments, and nationwide projects were implemented.
