March 13, Fineko/abc.az. Global gold production will continue to increase in 2026, but growth will be subdued amid geopolitical instability.
ABC.AZ informs that this is stated in the World Gold Council report.
According to the organization, in 2025, production reached a record of 3,672 tons (a rise of only 1% against the previous year). Experts expect further moderate growth in 2026.
According to Metals Focus’ estimates, by the end of 2025, global gold reserves amounted to nearly 55,000 tons, and the total potential of the deposits is estimated at close to 132,000 tons.
At the same time, roughly 220,000 tons of gold have already been accumulated on the earth's surface, a significant part of which can be returned to the market through processing. Therefore, analysts consider global shortage of gold as scarcely probable.
