March 16, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2026, 1.98 million pensioners were registered by the State Social Protection Fund (as of January 1, 2025 - 1.098 million), which is 10.7% of the country's population.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that the average amount of monthly pensions awarded increased by 9.1% compared with the 2025 same term, reaching 541.6 manats, and became equal to 49.1% of the average monthly salary.
