Ambassador of Turkey attends CEO Lunch Baku as an honorary guest

Caspian European Club has held the 14th CEO Lunch Baku today.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral has attended СЕО Lunch Baku as an honorary guest. Ambassador Erkan Ozoral emphasized that he was honored to be a guest of the event organized on a high level.

Addressing the event, Ambassador touched the topic of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, highlighting that active intensive development of the private sector and cooperation of entrepreneurs is also of big importance in the era of rapid development of the modern technologies and innovations. “The closer is our cooperation, the bigger is the mutual support, the greater will be joint achievements of Azerbaijan and Turkey. We have achieved a lot so far, but we can still learn more from each other”, Erkan Ozoral said.

He noted that steps have to be taken in this direction now, and then the work has to be carried out towards the development of cooperation in this direction with other countries as well.

“I would like to note that we have already built strong mechanisms of cooperation with Iran, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Pakistan. An establishment of cooperation with Uzbekistan is the following joint objective. In near future, it is planned to hold meetings on the high level”, Ambassador Erkan Ozoral said.

Speaking about the education sector, the Ambassador said that there are over 125,000 Azerbaijanis who have studied in Turkey so far. 15,000 Azerbaijanis are currently studying in Turkey.

“Turkey and Azerbaijan has the culture and the past which brings them close to each other, we speak one language and have seen each other as partners from birth. A now we have to be much closer and stronger”, Ambassador Erkan Ozoral concluded.

Presenting an honorary membership certificate of the Caspian European Club to Ambassador Erkan Ozoral, Telman Aliyev thanked His Excellency for his active participating in the СЕО Lunch Baku, as well as for the attention to proposals and requests expressed by the members of the Caspian European Club in the course of the event. He stressed that companies participating at CEO Lunch Baku obtained answers to matters that were of interest to them, discussed ways of cooperation in this area.

Telman Aliyev invited all participating guests to the 6th international “Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan – 2018” which would be held on 14 June in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Caspian Energy Forum Nakhchivan – 2018 is timed to coincide with the declaring of Nakhchivan as the capital of the Islamic culture- 2018. Telman Aliyev noted that members of the Government, representing the economic bloc of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as companies operating in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, members of the Caspian European Club will attend the forum.

Telman Aliyev recalled that the Caspian European Club has been holding for many years an annual investment rating of the economic regions of Azerbaijan, which shows the results of the economic reforms and social policy of the regions, implemented in the country under the leadership of the Chairman of the Caspian European Club, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

“As is known, following the outcomes of 2017, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic which scored the highest points has become a leader of the investment rating of Azerbaijan  regions”, he said.

The Caspian European Club which brings together more than 5,000 member companies and organizations from 70 countries around the world was established in June 2002 with the support of the largest oil and gas companies operating in the Caspian-Black Sea region, and with the active engagement of the Caspian Energy International Media Group. His Excellency President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is the Chairman of the Caspian European Club.

About 100 companies and organizations have attended CEO Lunch Baku.
