October 14, Fineko/abc.az. Sber, Alfa-Bank and T-Bank have started working together over a new payment system that will operate without usual plastic cards.

ABC.AZ informs that instead, the new system will rely on modern technologies such as QR code payment, biometrics and Bluetooth.

It is expected that the new system will not compete with Mir. The aforementioned companies are currently developing a concept that will be presented to the Bank of Russia in the near future.

Other financial organizations will be able to connect to the new platform. The volume of investments in the project is estimated at approx. 10 bn rubles.
