November 17, Fineko/abc.az. According to preliminary data, as of November 1, 2025, the number of the unemployed in Azerbaijan decreased to 278,900 people. While at the beginning of this year there were 282,700 people, and in the previous month - 279,300.

The unemployment rate remains stable at 5.2%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

The economically active population amounted to 5,381,500 people, and 5,102,600 people of them are employed.

As of October 1, 2025, the number of employees totaled 1,781,400 people, including 863,200 people in the public sector of the economy, and 918,200 people in the non-governmental sector. 31,300 people were employed in the oil & gas sector of the economy, and 1,750,100 people in the non-oil/gas sector.
