December 10, Fineko/abc.az. The average monthly nominal wage of employees in the Azerbaijani economy increased by 9.4% for Jan-Oct 2025 against the 2024 same term up to 1,086 manats.

In the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the field of transport and warehousing, the average monthly nominal salary was higher, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

As of November 1, 2025, the number of employees in the Azerbaijani economy was 1,782,400, including 865,700 employees in the public sector of the economy and 916,700 ones in the non-governmental sector.

Among employees, 18.8% are employed in trade; vehicle repair - 18.1%; education - 14%; industry - 8.6%; healthcare and social services for the population - 6.7%; construction - 6.3%; public administration and defense, social security - 4.5%; transportation and warehousing - 4%; in professional, scientific and technical activities - 2.4%; in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 2.3%; in financial and insurance activities - 14.3% in other sectors of the economy.
