December 26, Fineko/abc.az. The heirs of the late Texas billionaire Robert Brockman will pay $750 million as part of the settlement of the largest tax fraud case involving a private individual in the history of the U.S., ABC.AZ reports with reference to The Wall Street Journal.

Initially, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service demanded $1.4 billion, including interests.

Brockman was accused of hiding more than $2 billion in income through a network of offshore companies.

The businessman, who denied the guilt, died in 2022, without waiting for the trial. Forbes estimated his fortune at $4.7 billion.
