January 7, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese taikonauts conducted a series of scientific experiments with lithium-ion batteries at the space station.

ABC.AZ reports that the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced this on its website on January 7.

The crew of Shenzhou-21 spacecraft at the Tiangong Space Station were able to observe and analyze exactly how microgravity affects key processes inside batteries. Also, thanks to the unique microgravity space environment, taikonauts will be able to study the distribution of chemicals inside electrolytes.

Chinese scientists believe that the results will help improve the efficiency of energy systems in space.
