January 12, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, it is planned to electronically regulate losses in the insurance market.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA general director Vusal Gurbanov said this in DOST TV program "Sığortalı Dost".

He added that this will increase flexibility and transparency of insurance claims regulation, as well as the widespread use of digital methods in general: "Loss settlement in the insurance market is of particular importance. So, after receiving the insurance service, one of the key criteria for the insured is how the damage is assessed in the event of an insured event and in what order, how promptly and transparently compensation is paid."

Gurbanov noted that in this direction, special attention should be paid to those types of insurance that insurers most often encounter, so that citizens' trust in insurance services is formed precisely from these areas. He added that in terms of the frequency of insured events, compulsory motor vehicle insurance is one of the main directions in this regard, and it is here that there is an urgent need to increase the level of service.

The CBA general director noted that for this purpose, a mechanism for direct regulation of auto-mandatory losses was introduced in Azerbaijan.

He stressed that this mechanism exists in a limited number of countries in the region, and its application has significantly increased the level of satisfaction of policyholders with services: "Thus, the insurance company that provided the insurance policy renders direct service to its client, and after making the insurance payment, it itself requires the specified amount from another insurance company responsible. The insured's participation is not required in this process."

Gurbanov believes that this approach encourages insurance companies to pay more attention to the quality of their customer service and contributes to improving damage assessment mechanisms. Currently, work is ongoing on the e-registration of these processes, transition of loss settlement to digital environment and improving the efficiency in the settlement of insurance claims, CBA rep added.
