January 14, Fineko/abc.az. Armenia and the U.S. have issued a joint statement and declaration on further steps to launch the TRIPP (Zangezur Corridor) project.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the document, a special company will be created - TRIPP Development Company, which will deal directly with the construction.

The Armenian government will lease the territory along which the route will run to this company for 49 years.

During this period, 74% of company's shares will belong to the U.S. and 24% to the Armenian authorities. It is assumed that in the future the contract will be extended for another 50 years, while the share of the Armenian authorities will increase to 49%, and the share of the U.S. will decrease to 51%.
