January 14, Fineko/abc.az. Kazmortransflot (a subsidiary of Kazmunaygas) transported 59,400 containers in 20-foot equivalent (TEU) via the Aktau-Baku-Aktau feeder line in 2025.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to KMG that the indicator is more than 15% compared to 2024 (51,400 TEU).

"This positive trend is due to increased demand for transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route," the company says.

According to the National Statistical Bureau of Kazakhstan, 4.002 million tons of cargo were shipped by sea in the country in 2025 (a rise of 42% in freight traffic against 2024). Cargo turnover totaled 1.860 billion ton-km (a rise of 17.6% versus 2024).
