Traders paid nearly $50 per barrel to Venezuela

January 15, Fineko/abc.az. Traders acting on behalf of Washington, as part of the oil transfer deal, paid approx. $50 per barrel of raw materials to Venezuela, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the New York Times.

Trafigura and Vitol have paid with the Venezuelan authorities for a significant part of the oil. The American side has shipped more than 4 million barrels.

"Traders paid Venezuela nearly $50 for each barrel," the article says.

According to the newspaper, Venezuela had previously received about $30 for oil allegedly exported to China.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Washington was ready to sell Venezuelan oil to Russia and China.
