January 16, Fineko/abc.az. The interest income of Azerbaijan Industrial Bank from deposits in banks lowered by 259,000 manats (1.4%) to 18.4 million manats in 2025.

Bank's income from nostro's interest-bearing accounts also plummeted from 220,000 manats to 49,000 manats.

AIB’s interest expenses reached 20.9 million manats (2.6 million manats or 14.3% more against 2024.

The main role in the growth of interest expenses was played by deposits from customers and other banks. Bank's payments on customer deposits grew by 1.5 million manats (13.7%) up to 12.5 million manats during the year. This item accounts for 60% of overall interest expenses of the bank.

The cost of deposits from other banks increased by 1.1 million manats (18.2%) up to 7.1 million manats.
