January 28, Fineko/abc.az. In accordance with the State Program for improving the transport infrastructure of Baku and the surrounding territories for 2025-2030, the construction of the Darnagul electric depot continued after a long-term hiatus.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency’s chairman Anar Rzayev, that within the line separation project in the area of May 28 metro station, which is its key component, excavation work has begun on the construction of mines at two points: "For the construction of a turning chamber in the area after Icherisheher metro station, communications with relevant structures have been clarified, the territory has been brought ready for the start of construction work. On the dead-end track of Azi Aslanov metro station, reconstruction work has been brought to the next stage.

The construction of 10 new stations within the State Program will be one of the largest expansion stages in a short period of time in the history of the Baku Metro. The commissioning of one of these stations is scheduled for 2026, and last year repair and construction work continued actively at the B4 station."
