February 13, Fineko/abc.az. Aluminum prices declined after Donald Trump announced plans to review and cut some import duties on steel and aluminum, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Financial Times.
The U.S. authorities are reviewing the list of goods under restrictions and may exclude a number of items, fearing the negative impact of harsh tariffs on consumers.
Against this background, aluminum at the London Metal Exchange fell by 1.3% to $3,058.50 per ton. Earlier, the increase in duties to 50% caused supply disruptions and volatility in global markets.
