February 13, Fineko/abc.az. Reliance Industries (India) has received a general license from the U.S. government for direct purchases of Venezuelan oil.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to Bloomberg’s sources that the permit was issued by the U.S. Treasury Department following a recent application by a company owned by billionaire Mukesh Ambani.

The decision followed a trade agreement with the United States providing for a reduction in duties on Indian exports, subject to the refusal to purchase Russian oil at a discount. Indian authorities have recommended refineries to increase oil imports from Venezuela and the U.S.
