February 16, Fineko/abc.az. According to the EIA report, natural gas production in the U.S. will grow up to a record of 120.8 billion cubic feet per day in 2026 and 122.3 billion cubic feet per day in 2027.
ABC.AZ informs that around 69% of increase is expected to occur in Appalachia, Haynesville (Texas, Louisiana) and the Permian Basin (west Texas, southeastern New Mexico). In Haynesville, production growth will be up to 1.6 billion cubic feet per day due to high prices and proximity to LNG terminals. In the Permian basin, the increase will be related to associated petroleum gas extraction.
Projected gas prices will rise from $3.52 per million British thermal units in 2025 to $4.38 in 2027, which will ensure economic attractiveness of drilling in key regions.
