February 26, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia intend to enter a new stage of cooperation and implement larger-scale joint projects.

ABC.AZ reports that Turkish-Azerbaijani Business Council’s chairman Selcuk Akat made the relevant statement within the framework of the Azerbaijani–Georgian–Turkish Business Forum in Kakheti.

He pointed out that Georgia has traditionally been an important partner in development of economic and trade relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

"However, at the current stage, the region needs new projects and formats of cooperation. In this context, today's business forum is even more important than the previous ones. The forum is being held for the seventh time, and this meeting is of special nature," Akat said.

He stressed that the peace process in the South Caucasus also opens up new economic opportunities for the region and requires further deepening of trilateral cooperation.

Akat noted that logistics and renewable energy will become priorities in the new phase. Besides, large-scale reconstruction work in Karabakh creates additional investment opportunities.
