March 12, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has prepared 13 drafts of new state standards in the field of energy.
ABC.AZ informs, referring to the Ministry of Energy, that the latter hosted a meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization "Electric Power Industry & Renewable Energy Sources" in a hybrid format.
Technical Committee’s Secretary Arif Nazarov says that the legal acts adopted in recent years in the field of standardization require the development of new standards in the energy sector.
At a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND), subordinate to the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision & Consumer Market Control, and institutions belonging to the Technical Committee, the conclusions and proposals of the Agency for Energy Regulation (EMTA) under the Ministry on the final version of the draft IEC 62933-2-1 standard were discussed.
The importance of nationalization of terminology for the Azerbaijani electric power industry was also emphasized at the meeting.
In conclusion, taking into account the opinions and suggestions expressed, it was decided to approve and submit 13 draft standards in the field of energy to AZSTAND.
