Volume of marketable natural gas reserves in Azerbaijan reach 20.4 million cubic meters

August 17, Fineko/abc.az. Taking into account the reserves at the beginning of this year, the volume of commercial reserves of natural gas in the country in January-June 2022 amounted to 20,406.3 million cubic meters.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 86.3% of reserves were formed  from production, and 13.7% from residues.
31.8% of natural gas is consumed, 55.6% is exported, 2% is lost, and 10.6% is left as a reserve since the beginning of July.
62.9% of the natural gas consumed in the country was used for production needs, and 37.1% was sold to the public.

In January-June of this year, 11,350.3 million cubic meters of natural gas were exported, up 26.2% from the same period in 2021.

The population consumed 2,404 million cubic meters of natural gas, or 1.9% more than in the same period last year, with Baku accounting for 38%, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 3.2%, Absheron-Khizi economic region for 10.9%, Ganja-Dashkesan for 6.2%, Lankaran-Astara for 6%,  Central Aran for 5.7%, Gazakh-Tovuz for 5.7%, Shaki-Zagatala for 5%, Guba-Khachmaz for 4.9%, Karabakh for 4.5%, Mil-Mugan economic region for 3.8%, Shirvan-Salyan for 3.7%, Mountain Shirvan for 2.4%.
