Oil rises, Brent traded at $101.80 per barrel

August 25, Fineko/abc.az. Benchmark oil prices are rising in trading on Thursday after growing the day before on data on declining inventories in the US.

In trading on the London ICE Futures Exchange, October Brent oil futures rose by $0.58 (0.57%) by 09:15 to $101.80 per barrel. As a result of trading on August 24, the cost of October Brent oil futures increased by $1.00 (1%) to $101.22 per barrel.

At the auctions of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), October WTI oil futures by 09:15 rose in price by $0.45 (0.47%) to $95.34 per barrel. As a result of trading on August 24, the cost of October WTI oil futures rose by $1.15 (1.23%) to $94.89 per barrel.

According to the US Department of Energy, oil inventories in the country fell by 3.28 million barrels last week. Inventories of gasoline dropped by 27,000 barrels, and inventories of distilates went down by 662,000 barrels.
