Oil price keeps on falling, and Brent is at $84.72 per barrel

September 26, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades continued declining in Monday's trading after falling to January lows at the end of last week.

The cost of November’s Brent crude futures at the London ICE Futures Exchange by 10:40 am is $84.72 per barrel, which is $1.43 (1.66%) less than the closing price of the last session. Following the trading on 23 September, these contracts fell in prices by $4.31 (4.77%), to $86.15 per barrel.

The price of November’s futures for WTI crude oil on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) by 10:40 am is $77.51 per barrel, which is $1.23 (1.56%) less than the final value of the previous session. Following the trading on 23 September, the value of these contracts slumped by $4.75 (5.69%), to $78.74 per barrel.

Over the past week, Brent lost 5.7% of its value and WTI - 7.1%, both brands ended trading at the lowest levels since January.
