October 6, Fineko/abc.az. 158,803 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in September 2022.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Tourism Agency that last month the largest number of tourists arrived from Russia (46,162), Turkey (29,506), Iran (16,717), India (8,626), Georgia (8009), Saudi Arabia (7,368) and Pakistan (5,432). The share of visitors by region was 29.07% in Russia, 18.58% in Turkey, 11.35% in the Middle East, 10.53% in Iran and 9.32% in South Asia.

According to statistical data, for the past 9 months of 2022 the largest number of foreigners arrived from Russia – 309,000, from Turkey – 228,000, from Iran – 128,000, from Saudi Arabia – 86,000, from Georgia – 56,000, from Pakistan – 38,000, from India – 36,000, from the UAE – 27,000, from Kazakhstan – 22,000, from Ukraine – 21,000, from Israel – 20,000, from Kuwait – 19,000, from Uzbekistan – 18,000, from Oman – 16,000, from the UK – 13,000.
