State Traffic Police: More than 80% of cars in Azerbaijan accounts for Baku

December 6, Fineko/abc.az. In total, there are about 1.7 million cars in the country. More than 80% of them are located in Baku. The largest number of violations on the territory of the capital is associated with stops and parking. 

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated at a press conference in connection with special bus lanes by chief inspector of the Baku State Traffic Police Department, Police Major Araz Askerli.
He noted that most of the breaches relate to the seizure of sidewalks, pedestrian paths, bus stops: "So far there is no desired responsible attitude to bus lanes. Such violations are investigated with the help of surveillance cameras, and each of them is given a legal assessment. For the past 11 months since January, more than 40,000 protocols have been drawn up in Baku under Article 327.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences - for non-compliance with the requirements of road signs."
