Activity in the interbank money market grows

December 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's activity in the interbank money market continues to grow.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that 69 transactions were made on the Bloomberg trading platform in September, 146 in October, 168 in November.

"93.6% of transactions were short–term (1-3 days). In November, the number of interbank REPO transactions amounted to 76 (3.6-fold more versus September).

As a whole, in September-November, the financial transactions made on the Bloomberg trading platform amounted to AZN 3.97 bn, on the REPO system – AZN 305 million.

The decisions taken at the last meeting on the interest rate corridor were accompanied by an increase in average interest rates on the interbank market. In November, the average percentage of one-day transactions in the Bloomberg trading system increased by 0.6% (against the October indicator)," the CBA says.

In November 2022, credit investments of banks and non–bank credit organizations increased by 1% (against September), from the beginning of the year – 18.1%, against November 2021 - 21.1%. For the past 11 months, the volume of business loans increased by 12.7%, consumer loans by 27.7%, mortgage loans by 21.9%.
