Azerbaijan generated 1.9 bn kWh of electricity in December 2017

January 5, Fineko/abc.az. Last month electricity generated in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.9 bn kWh that is by 300 million kW/h or of 13.64% less than for December 2016.

Azerenergy’s spokesman Yahya Babanly has stated that in December 2016 the volume of country’s generated electricity reached 2.2 bn kW/h.

"Over the reporting period Azerbaijan carried out mutual exchange of electricity with other states and continued work to improve efficiency of transmission and reduction of electricity losses within the framework of Action Plan of the Strategic Roadmap on Utility Services (electric and thermal energy, water and gas) in Azerbaijan," Babanly said.
