April 22, Fineko/abc.az. In accordance with the President's task, work is ongoing on the expansion of the targeted state social assistance program.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Minister of Labor & Social Protection Sahil Babayev at a board meeting via video link.

The minister noted that in April alone this program covered an additional 10,000 families, and the number of families receiving targeted assistance reached 80,500 (335,000 family members), and this growth dynamics continues.

"At the same time, in order to ease the conditions for assigning targeted assistance, more convenient and easier for low-income people to apply for social assistance, the relevant draft amendments to the legislation have already been submitted," the minister said.
