April 27, Fineko/abc.az. The acceptance of payments for a lump-sum payment (190 manats), one of the main measures of state support in connection with the pandemic in Azerbaijan, has been completed.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection that on behalf of the head of state, work is underway to bring the number of paid public jobs up to 90,000. In recent days, through the DOST Center of the MLSP, an additional 18,000 people were involved in paid public work, and the number of employees reached 55,000.

At the same time the coverage of the lump-sum payment program was increased 3-fold, and the number of poor people covered by the program reached 200,600. To date, lump-sum payments have been paid to 400,000 of them, and will be paid to another 200,000 ones following the consideration of appeals:

"In general, the acceptance of applications for lump-sum payment on portal e-sosial.az from unemployed and low-income persons who lost their jobs within the special quarantine regime has already been completed," the Ministry said.
