April 28, Fineko/abc.az. As of 27 April 22,976 taxpayers and 73,760 individual (micro) entrepreneurs (totally 96,736 taxpayers) affected by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) applied to the Ministry of Economy for financial assistance to cover a certain part of wages of their personnel.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry that as part of the payment of a certain part of employees’ wages, the applications of 19,061 entrepreneurs, relating the 178,587 employees, was reviewed and approved and submitted to the Ministry of Finance for the transfer of financial assistance to entrepreneur bank accounts.

The consideration of financial aid applications of other entrepreneur taxpayers is ongoing. The financial support on the already endorsed applications so far has amounted AZN 80.72 million, including AZN 40.36 million on the 1st stage. As of 27 April the Finance Ministry’s State Treasury Agency ensured the transfer of AZN 38.46 million of financial aid to 17,568 entrepreneur taxpayers on wages of their hired employees.
