July 2, Fineko/abc.az. In the period of the COVID-19 pandemic the demand for e-signatures provided by the Information Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications & High Technologies increased.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry that for Jan-Jun of this year 1,244 certificates for e-signatures were issued to citizens, 2,144 to entrepreneurs, and 1,666 to legal entities.

For comparison, this means an increase in the number of certificates by 20% against the same term of 2019. And governmental agencies that applied for e-signature were issued 3,375 certificates for e-signatures. In general, 8,429 certificates were given in the first half of this year. During this time the number of transactions with e-signatures exceeded 6 million.
