Money funded for water supply improvement in 15 districts of Azerbaijan

August 12, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the additional measures aimed to improve the provision of irrigation water to crops and meet population’s drinking water needs.

The decree tasks national water operator Azersu and the State Oil Company to drill 24 subartesian wells with the purpose to improve the supply of irrigational water to crop areas and homesteads used in 24 populated localities of 15 districts numbering 65,122 residents, as well as to meet the drinking water needs of the population. The State Budget will allocate AZN 756,000 to Azersu for this purpose.
