March 4, Fineko/abc.az. Projects aimed at renewal of the car fleet in Azerbaijan are being discussed.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by State Customs Committee’s chair Safar Mehdiyev.

He noted that the topic of discussion is projects to reduce customs duties on new vehicles or the preference for alternative transport vehicles, in particular, we are talking about other vehicles that do not run on gasoline:

"To ensure an ecological balance, transport vehicles with a service life of over 5 years should not be imported in the country or should be subject to very high taxes to reduce their imports. The operation of passenger cars imported in the country should not harm the health of people," Mehdiyev said.
