April 21, Fineko/abc.az. Anna Bjerde, World Bank’s Vice-President for Europe & Central Asia, and Elman Rustamov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, held a video-format meeting.

ABC.AZ was informed at the CBA that during the meeting Rustamov stressed the importance of long-term strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WB in the socio-economic development of the country.

Then, speaking about the economic situation in the country, including the work done in the financial sector, he noted that in 2020, Azerbaijan, like all countries, faced difficult challenges.

It was noted that the new generation of reforms has been launched in the country, and the national priorities set for the next 10 years open up new directions for cooperation between the WB and Azerbaijan.

Those reforms are aimed at achieving specific strategic goals.
